第二届国际森林土壤研讨会

Dear Colleagues and Friends: 

    To celebrate the 2015 International Year of Soils, the International Symposium on Forest Soils: Linking Soil Processes to Forest Productivity and Water Protection under Global Change(ISFS 2015) will be held between October 24 and 28 in 2015 in Fuzhou, China. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are very pleased to invite you to participate in the Conference, if you like, you are also welcome to make a plenary presentation on your research in a relevant area or poster during the conference. The topics of this symposium include: (1) Tracking and monitoring: advancing innovative techniques and novel approaches to simulate and monitor the effects of local management and climate change; (2) Assessing the pressures and threats:impacts of global environmental changes (especially soil warming) on carbon, water and nutrient cycling, ecosystem functioning and ecosystem services; (3) Untangling the linkages:elucidating relationships between soil processes and ecosystem functioning and ecosystem services; and (4) Strategies for management and conservation: practices to maintain and enhance forest productivity and ecosystem services provided by forest soils in particular for water cycling and purification.

    During this Symposium we will invite eminent scientists to present keynote addresses. We hope that this symposium will facilitate the development of international linkages, scientific exchanges and strategic alliances in forest soil processes. Fuzhou is a beautiful city with long history in China. During the workshop, attendees will have chances to access to those local attractions.
